Our creative team is comprised of writers, illustrators and editors. As we expand, we want to ensure that diversity stays at rrramble’s core – in every sense of the word. As such, we are committed to working with a rrramble team who have varying backgrounds, interests, identities, specialisms, and opinions to really do our mission statement justice.

Currently, we recognise that our creative pool is not representative enough of black & global majority voices and experiences. In light of this, we are leaving the door open for black & global majority writers and illustrators to apply for rrramble at any time, and be assessed on a rolling basis – without a deadline.

Become a rrramble writer
We contact our writers every month with a brand-new callout of creative work to review. If you haven’t already, check out our reviews page and discover the art we’ve discussed so far. Our writing team receive tailored feedback and advice on their reviews, regular socials online to network with the broader team and the opportunity to work one-to-one with an editor on longer think pieces about cultural topics of their choice. We also produce our monthly rrrambulletin – an arts newsletter bursting with art & cultural sector news and paid job/ project opportunities across the UK.

It’s a priority for us to ensure our creative team can balance their time at rrramble alongside other pursuits, and as such we endeavour to always keep an open line of communication with our creatives. rrramble is a space for growth and asking questions – don’t let doubts about your prior experience stand in the way! If you have an active interest in the arts and would like to share your unique perspective on it, we’d love to hear from you.

At rrramble, we champion a very broad definition of ‘Art’. Our writers are always interested in discovering creative work in new mediums and pieces that bring a distinctive take to social and cultural topics. There’s no rulebook that defines what art is worthy of being reviewed, so we encourage you to reach out!

Every review we post features multiple perspectives. You’ll never see a review by just one writer at rrramble. Our goal is to empower our readers to form their own opinions by kickstarting a conversation about the art, rather than executing a verdict.

We’re here to diversify the critical voices in the arts sector, so if you’re looking for an easy shoutout, I’m afraid you’re knocking on the wrong door. But if you’re open to sharing your work, we can promise a thought provoking, respectful and personal response. Besides, who doesn’t love a friendly debate?

The reviews are featured on our website and promoted on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook by our communications team. For projects brought to us by individuals or organisations, we’re happy to collaborate on bespoke content that gives the project additional attention and signposts audiences.
